Special Projects

Angus first came to STE as an intern in 2015 where he developed a passion for aviation and conservation, and then joined STE again as an employee in 2020. A licensed pilot, one of his roles is to provide aerial support during routine patrols, censuses, surveys and collaring operations across Kenya. He is also a drone pilot and helps to lead STE’s pioneering drone programme from our research camp in Samburu National Reserve, elucidating questions on elephant behaviour from a new perspective.

Dividing his time between Samburu and Nairobi, Angus’ role encompasses a variety of duties, which have included designing and building an exhibition piece, report writing, and research.

Angus holds a degree in Classics from the University of Edinburgh.
