Wildlife Survey Technology & Research Officer
Yuka (M.Sc.) is a Conservation biotechnologist who modernises aerial wildlife surveys through practical, data-driven, and AI-enabled workflows. His work includes strengthening wildlife monitoring through aerial survey reform and delivering Training of Trainers programs for human–elephant conflict mitigation & coexistence across Kenya and beyond.
With expertise in bioinformatics and field ecology, Yuka bridges biological lab science and on-ground conservation through field trials, biodiversity monitoring, and operational problem solving to strengthen wildlife monitoring and climate resilient conservation planning. His work includes experience in phytochemistry, organic agriculture, graphics & data visualisation, and conservation research grounded in experimental design and data analytics.
Yuka holds a BSc in Biochemistry from Pwani University and dual master’s degrees in Biotechnology and Zoology from Punjabi University and Guru Nanak Dev University, respectively.
