MYSURU: Acting on a tip-off, sleuths of city crime branchand Devaraja police arrested Gangadhar (32) of Gundlupet and Manikanta (29) of HD Kote near Jaganmohana Palace. They were possessing two tusks weighing approximately 18.78 kilos in total. Two mobile handsets, Rs 400 cash and a goods auto that was used to ferry smuggled tusks have been confiscated from them.
Police have continued investigation to know from where and how they got these wildlife properties. Though there is no market for wildlife properties in India there is a huge demand for it in international black market. Miscreants try to make quick buck by smuggling wildlife properties which is crime in India.
