Dr. Angela Brennan
Senior Continental Tracking Coordinator
Angela Brennan is an ecologist with more than 15 years of experience conducting collaborative, policy-relevant conservation research across large mixed-use landscapes, spanning regions of Africa, North America, South America, and Europe. She specialises in the study of large mammal space use and has a keen interest in elephant research and conservation, having worked on elephant movement and connectivity in southern Africa.
Underpinning Angela’s work is her passion for bridging her knowledge and experiences in the field with her technical background in developing ecological models used to understand animal movement patterns and evaluate the impacts of environmental change.
Throughout her work, Angela has aimed to build long-lasting partnerships and multi-organizational collaborations that can leverage interdisciplinary expertise and local knowledge towards understanding and addressing pressing conservation issues.
Angela holds a PhD in Wildlife Biology from Montana State University (USA) and an MSc in Environmental Science from Western Washington University (USA).
