Derick Wanjala
Coexistence Project Officer
Derick joined Save the Elephants as an intern in 2019 and has since risen through the ranks to Coexistence Project Officer. His current role includes researching, deploying, and training farmers, community leaders, and conservation organizations on different human-elephant coexistence toolbox methods.
Derick holds a Bachelor’s degree in Wildlife Management and Conservation from the University of Eldoret. He is passionate about community conservation with a particular interest in working with communities facing human-elephant conflict.
