Vincent Kipkazi
Tracking Analyst
Vincent first joined Save the Elephants in October 2021 as a GIS intern. After his internship, he earned a scholarship through Save the Elephants’ research fund, which allowed him to pursue an MSc in Animal Ecology at Kenyatta University.
He now returns to Save the Elephants as a Tracking Analyst, bringing with him extensive expertise in spatial analysis, cartography, and ecological research, with a particular focus on the impact of elephants on vegetation.
In his current role, Vincent is responsible for updating and maintaining the STE spatial database, analyzing tracking data, and producing both technical and scientific reports. Additionally, he will generate maps and data visualizations using ArcGIS, Ecoscope Notebooks, and R. He is excited to be part of the STE herd once again and looks forward to contributing to the conservation of elephants.
