A dead body of a wild elephant has been found in Kolakanawadiya area in Sewanapitiya.
The forest officers found the elephant on an information received this morning.
The cause of the death of the elephant is yet to be revealed.
The 8 feet tall elephant is around 25-years of age.
Welikanda forest officers are conducting further investigations into the incident.
