A suspected poacher was arrested on Sunday with four trophies worth Sh1.5 million in Mwele village.

Shimba Hills National Reserve deputy warden Dadley Tsiganyiu said Boniface Mutua is suspected to have had the elephant tusks for one year.

“We suspect he had gone to Mwaluphamba to sell the trophies before we were given information by the public,” he said in his office on Monday.
