In 2009, Lori Souder came face-to-face with a wild elephant in Kenya—a life-changing moment that sparked her enduring commitment to wildlife conservation. That experience became the foundation of her mission: to inspire meaningful action and awareness around protecting Africa’s most iconic species.
As the founder of her bespoke safari consultancy, Lori designs and leads immersive, conservation-focused journeys across Eastern and Southern Africa. Each experience is carefully curated to connect travelers with wildlife, support local communities, and foster a deep respect for the natural world.
Drawing on years of experience on the ground and strong personal relationships across the region, Lori brings a thoughtful, human-centered approach to building meaningful safari adventures. Her trips are designed not just to inspire awe, but to leave a lasting impact—both for the traveler and the places they visit.
Lori is a member of the Smithsonian Institution’s Regional Council – Chicago Affiliate and a former Governing Member Ambassador at the Brookfield Zoo, underscoring her long-standing dedication to conservation, education, and global stewardship.
