Save the Elephants’ Scientific Publications bring together the peer-reviewed research produced by STE and its collaborators, spanning topics from elephant behaviour and communication to movement ecology, human-elephant coexistence, and conservation technology. Drawing on more than three decades of fieldwork in Samburu and beyond, these publications represent original contributions to the scientific understanding of African elephants.

Elephant Library
The Save the Elephants Research Library is a comprehensive collection of over 8,000 academic papers, articles, and theses on African elephants. Known as the African Elephant Library (AEL), it is a joint project between Save the Elephants and the African Elephant Specialist Group of the IUCN Species Survival Commission, covering a wide range of topics including elephant biology, ecology, and management.
