One part of the ‘Save the Elephants’ organization I was not fully aware of was their educational program until I accompanyed Daniel on one of his many trips to the nearby West Gate Primary. This is a school that ‘Save the Elephants’ is sponsoring. Thanks to donations a new girls dormitory has just been built containing 50 beds for the pupils that live too far away to commute. The finishing touches are being put on the interior and it will hopefully be open very soon.
I was amazed to see what a marked improvement the new building was from the current living quarters. Staff and pupils alike are very excited about its completion. With an arm exhausted from waving I was now aware of the important work STE is doing to improve education in the local area.
