Summary

This study analyzed GPS data from 56 elephants in the Serengeti-Mara Ecosystem to understand how individuals use cultivated lands. Results showed wide variation in crop use, influenced by landscape fragmentation and human activity. These findings inform strategies for mitigating human-elephant conflict and promoting coexistence in agricultural landscapes.
