Internships – Samburu Research Centre

Each year, Save the Elephants offers a small number of highly competitive internships at our Samburu Research Centre in northern Kenya. Designed for recent university graduates pursuing careers in conservation, these six-week placements provide hands-on experience. Interns work alongside our scientists and conservation teams, contributing to long-term monitoring, behavioural research, human-elephant coexistence initiatives, and conservation education while gaining valuable field and research skills.

Internships - Tsavo Research Centre

Each year, Save the Elephants offers up to 16 internships at our Tsavo Coexistence and Research Centre, located in the Sagalla Community bordering Tsavo East National Park. Designed for recent university graduates pursuing careers in conservation, these 4–10-week placements provide hands-on experience in community-based conservation, human-elephant coexistence, ecological research, and environmental education. Working alongside our multidisciplinary team, interns gain practical field experience while contributing to initiatives that promote sustainable coexistence between people and elephants.
