Lifelong experience in conservation and business in Africa. Grew up in national parks in Kenya, Tanzania and Uganda. Current Regional Operations Manager for African Parks Network in South Sudan and Ethiopia. Prior to this, seven years as Programme Manager at the Elephant Crisis Fund, which has funded 405 projects in 44 countries in Africa and Asia via 103 local partners. Extensive experience leading programs, developing grant strategies, building teams for impact in conservation, and executing grant programs with local and international stakeholders, as well as raising funds from corporate and philanthropic donors.
Co-founder of Africa Risk Consulting, a Joburg-based consulting business. Eight years working with global companies on their investment strategy in Africa, providing analysis and advice to navigate complex political and business environments.
Passionate about tackling the immense climate and biodiversity crisis facing us, protecting Africa’s most important natural landscapes, building a coalition of supporters for the cause, recruiting the best brains in the business to solve some of our greatest environmental challenges, and expanding knowledge and opportunity at a grassroots level.
