Sarah Kunkel
Fundraising Assistant
Sarah was first acquainted with Save the Elephants as an intern at the Tsavo Research Centre in 2023. She holds an MSc from The University of Queensland in Australia, where her research used proteomics to describe molecular changes in male marsupial reproduction to help improve advanced reproductive technologies. In between her two years of school in Australia, Sarah completed her internship and became fascinated by human-wildlife conflict mitigation and intersectional conservation.
In 2025, Sarah joined STE as a fundraising assistant based in the US, her home country. Sarah is passionate about gaining support for our efforts, while enjoying the opportunity to connect with others to ensure a bright and sustainable future for elephants.
